What is it indicated for?

In irreversible cases of hind limb paralysis. It can carry the hind legs in suspension if it has lost mobility completely.

Our wheelchair for small dogs is indicated for mobility problems in the hind limbs. They provide autonomy and activity essential to recover the physical and mental health of your dog or cat.

For reversible or rehabilitation cases, our chair allows full or partial support of the back legs for remedial physiotherapy.

The use of a dog wheelchair is usually used in cases of hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis, herniated disc, proprioceptive deficits, or to immobilize the hind limbs after surgery.

How do I take the measurements?

Hip width

Using a string or a cloth to hold it up, you should measure the width of the hip with a rigid meter taking a certain distance to take the picture.

Hip height

Again with the help of a string, place a rigid tape measure vertically to the floor to measure groin height and total hip height.

Hip - Shoulder

Again with the tape measure horizontal, measure the total distance from your shoulder to past the end of your hip.

Chest circumference

With a flexible tape measure you should take the widest measurement of the chest, usually about two or three fingers behind the armpit.

To make the purchase process easier, we will only ask you for the four stockings indicated above.

You will need to take a photo of the measurement, which we will ask you for once the order has been placed as a verification measure.

If you can get help we recommend it. While they help you keep the dog upright and entertain him with treats you can take care of the measurements.

Use a metal tape measure like the one in the photo as it is easier for us to check. However, for the chest circumference it is better to use a flexible tape measure. If you don't have one, use a string and then measure it.

You can ask a professional for help, but that does not guarantee that the stockings will be perfect. Take them yourself at home anyway. Remember, always double check your measurements.

Can you relieve yourself?

No problem. We have designed our chair so that you can relieve yourself normally. It is also adapted to the use of diapers for cases that need it.

Can you sit with the chair on?

The saddle is optimized so that it can be put on or taken off in less than 15 seconds. Therefore, we recommend removing it if we want the animal to be in a resting position.

How much does it weigh?

The weight varies between the different sizes but in no case exceeds one kilo. Despite being the lightest on the market, its low center of gravity ensures stability and less tipping.
