Custom-made front leg splint for dogs

What is it indicated for?

Our splint is indicated for the treatment of injuries and fractures of the front leg (anterior) of dogs and cats.

They can be used in neurological treatments, when there are problems of positioning of the limb, as well as in traumatological problems, neuropraxias, or problems of the brachial plexus or radial nerve.

Remember that if your dog only needs to have the lower part of the limb immobilized, a short boot splint is recommended.

Immobilize

In cases of injuries or fractures in the hoof, leg or carpus of our pet.

When there are neurological problems or deformities in the forelimb.

In post-surgical rehabilitation treatments for your dog or cat.

Taking measurements for front leg splint for dog, cat and other animals

The measurement should start from the nail of the longest finger.

From the floor to the carpal joint

The leg must be well supported on the ground.

How do I take the measurements?

Width

Rest your dog’s or cat’s paw firmly on the floor and measure the width with a tape measure or flexible meter.

Measure A

You should measure from the tip of the nail of the longest toe to the end of the support against the floor of the pads.

Measure B

Measurement B should be taken from the ground to the carpus, without exceeding it.
