Tailor-made rear leg splint for dogs

What is it indicated for?

Our splint is indicated for the treatment of injuries and fractures of the hind leg (posterior) of dogs and cats.

They can be used both in neurological treatments, when there are problems of positioning of the limb, and in traumatological problems, when it is necessary to give support and immobilization.

Remember that if your dog only needs to have immobilized the lower part of the limb is recommended a short boot splint.

Immobilize

In cases of injuries or fractures in the hoof, leg or tarsus of our pet.

The measurement should start from the nail of the longest finger.
From the floor to the tarsal joint
The leg must be well supported on the ground.

How do I take my pet’s measurements?

 

Width

Rest your dog’s or cat’s paw firmly on the floor and measure the width with a tape measure or flexible meter.

Measure A

You should measure from the tip of the nail of the longest toe to the end of the support against the floor of the pads.

Measure B

Measurement B should be taken from the ground to the tarsus, without exceeding it.
