What is it indicated for?
The Mihapi® knee protector for dogs has been designed for cases of cruciate ligament rupture (ACL), patellar luxation and knee joint problems such as arthritis or osteoarthritis, infected meniscus or tendinitis.
You can use the shield both as an alternative to surgery as well as for post-surgical treatments.
The pressure applied by the protector increases the blood pressure in the joint, thus increasing the temperature and reducing pain.
Improves circulation
The elastic neoprene with which the protector is made exerts pressure on the joint, which improves localized circulation in the knee.
Temperature rises
Due to the increased blood supply to the joint, there is a localized temperature increase in the knee.
Relieves pain
Higher temperature and better circulation leads to symptomatic relief of joint pain, especially in cases of arthritis or osteoarthritis.
